Talk Description
Moral distress amongst ICU nurses is higher than amongst doctors working in ICU. This is because of ICU nurse staffing ratios, following through with orders that may not be in the patients best interest, dealing with care that prolongs a patient's death rather than life, dealing with family and their emotional needs and so on and so on. This talk delves into this important area of research and where additional HR focus needs to be given.
