Talk Description
This session will consider the diversity of Africa and its old and new challenges; the opportunistic phenomenon of Islamic
extremism, intra and interfaith challenges, New Atheism and what Muslims can do better in equipping its youth for the
challenges ahead. It will also consider some of what Islam has to offer Muslims and non-Muslims of Africa and those Islamic teachings and approaches that need to be taken more seriously by teachers, patents and Islamic organisations as we try to work with each other, and people of other faiths to face our unique and common challenges.
