Talk Description
The global use of CM continues to grow, driven by a combination of consumer demand related to cultural, social, economic, and healthcare-related factors.
As interest in holistic health and individualised medicine continues to rise, it is likely that the popularity of CM will continue to increase in the years to come.
Many countries and healthcare providers support or have integrated CM into their healthcare systems to varying degrees.
While some CM practices have a strong evidence base supporting their efficacy and safety, others lack robust scientific evidence. However, there is ongoing research aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of various complementary therapies and identifying their potential benefits and risks.
For best practice, comprehensive, detailed data on T&CM (and integrative medicine) exposures are needed, and studies should report an operational definition.
