Talk Description
Rehabilitation is vital for people who have had strokes, to allow them the best chance to maximise their potential of recovery. We will be taking a look at how neurological rehabilitation has evolved over time, as well as how we apply the theory of Motor Learning to our rehabilitation plans. We will then explore how Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists can help people who have had strokes, and how they apply to different phases of the rehabilitation journey. We will also take some time to discuss other role players in the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
